IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for an IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert for a 1-year role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Jersey City, New Jersey office.

IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert - Job Description:
The project involves the support and maintenance of an old legacy mainframe IMS Accounts system, ensuring its stability, efficiency, and continuity. The role requires providing SME knowledge to facilitate the transition of application data and functionality to a strategic application, allowing for the legacy system's retirement by 2028.

IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert - Responsibilities:
• Conduct tasks related to application stability, SME support, and risk technology.
• Implement application enhancements to meet specific tech mandatory or business requirements.
• Independently work on all phases of development process and provide user and operational support.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of IMS environment to analyze complex problems/issues.
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommending quick resolutions.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.

IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert - Mandatory Skills:
• 10+ years of relevant experience in IMS.
• Advanced working knowledge and programming experience using IBM's IMS for both DB and DC processing.
• High-level expertise coding in COBOL for batch programs and online IMS programs.
• Expertise using TSO, MVS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, NDM, SFTP, ChangeMan, and Info/Man.
• Knowledge of RACF security.
• SME experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.

IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Accessible and strong communication skills.
• Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Familiarity with market Account Reference data.

IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert – Assignment Length:
This is a 1-year contract position.

IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert - Start Date:
ASAP.

IMS DB/DC Mainframe Systems Expert - Assignment Location:
Jersey City, New Jersey, United States. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days onsite per week.
